Only Fools Rush In

Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. – Ephesians 5:15-17

Let see the portrait of a fool according to the book of Psalms and Proverbs.

1. A FOOL KNOWS THAT THERE IS GOD, YET PRACTICALLY DENIES GOD

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good. – Psalms 14:1

A fool intellectually knows that there is God, but practically live as if there is no God.  To a fool foolishness is wisdom and wisdom is foolishness.  He will rather reason in humanistic ideologies derived from human philosophy and shallow understanding of the gospel and he will never see the truth because simply he is a foolish.  Because he is a foolish, he’ll hate those who reprove him or rather ignore them as if they don’t exist; as if they said nothing; as if he himself is wise.

A fool will never stop saying “BUT” a never ending reasoning because he don’t want to admit that he himself is committing a foolish act.

Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you. – Proverbs 9:8

2. A FOOL MOCKS A SIN

Fools mock at making amends for sin, but goodwill is found among the upright – Proverbs 14:9

Because a fool practically live as if there is no God even if he has a knowledge that there is God, will try to eliminate guilt of sin by amending the rules.  He will make his own rules which opposes the truth in the bible to justify his own sin.

3. A FOOL LIVES LIFE BASED ON HIS OWN OPINION

“The tongue of the wise uses knowledge aright, but the mouth of fools pour out foolishness.”  – Proverbs 15:2

When a fool open his mouth, we’re not going to get any wisdom, instead we are going to get the same foolishness he is doing, his opinions.  He is not going to talk abouth his own attitude but his effect to others.

4. A FOOL IS ARROGANT AND DOESN’T FEAR GOD

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. – Proverbs 1:7

Paul said “look if you used to be a fool, but you’ve been made wise in Christ, then for Christ’s sake walk as wise.” If this is who you are (as wise), then this is how you live, (as wise). Since we are saved then we are to walk as saved.

And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, – 1 Corinthians 1:30

The moment we became Christian; the moment we are in Christ then Christ made unto us wisdom, righteousness and sanctification and redemption.  No Christian is irresponsible for what he does,  if there is  let say “irresponsible Christian” then he is not a Christian.  Our walk should match our position and our position is in Christ. If we walk as fools then we are not walking as wise.

WHY DO FOOLS RUSH IN?

Just like in Ephesians 5:15-17, fools they are not careful on how they live unlike the wise.  In our society today fools are like those who intentionally find a rock to hit their own heads with their own hands with a full knowledge of the effect of it.

WHAT’S THE REPERCUSSION OF THE FOOLS REFUSAL TO LISTEN?

But since you rejected me when I called and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand, since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh at your disaster; I will mock when calamity overtakes you— when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you. “Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me.  Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD, since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke,
they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.” – Proverbs 1:24 -33

Put your faith in Jesus Christ and act according to that very faith, because the day of the Lord is fast approaching.

GRACE AND PEACE TO ALL!
